Jay Amaran,

Amaran is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology @ Madras, the Indian Institute of Management @ Ahmedabad and the Sloan School of Massachusetts Institute of Technology @ Cambridge. 

Amaran has over 45 years of international experience, working in 15 countries and 12 domains. His areas of interest are:

  • Fund-raising,
  • Initial Public Offering,
  • Business Development,
  • Business Intelligence, and Strategic Planning. 

Jay/Jam/Amar/Catamaran/Jay Amaran/J Amaran is an alum of IIT Madras, IIM Ahmedabad & MIT Cambridge. His contacts through his alum networks exceed half a million. Jay has over 44 years of experience in Coding & Consulting, including a 27-year stint with the World Bank. He is known for creating uniquely creative business models.

Jay has 4 major contributions to humankind: 
(1) He was part of the coding team for sparse matrix algorithms used in spreadsheets.  (2) He was co-creator of the world’s first Y2K fix known as DA-TE-2000. (3) He created predictive analytics for the stock market using weather pattern-based Levi distribution. (4) With Feldmann, he developed several genetic computations that would provide insights to a person’s health. Currently, he has business interests in Software, Healthcare, Agriculture, Realty and Education. He is a mentor for several large infrastructure projects in India.
 
In his spare time, he loves to engage in developing thinking skills and promoting philosophy-related reading among youngsters and CXOs. His hobbies include Cricket, Chess, Flow, Tennis, Kakuro, Kenken and Scrabble.

FCA with 42+ years of experience in various industries, including manufacturing, exports, and finance. Specializes in consultancy for project financing, banking matters, BIFR matters, DGFT matters, ECGC matters rehabilitation of sick units, Corporate debts restructuring, one-time settlements.
 
An Insolvency Professional, Qualified Arbitrator, and Independent Director. Core competencies include IBC assignments, business restructuring, compliance, and risk management. Has authored the book “Leading People” and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Executive with experience as CEO, COO, SVP Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Development working at large to medium-sized companies within healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, utilities, energy, higher education, government and sports/entertainment industries. P&L and venture funding responsibility within various startups and extensive sales, operations and marketing experience within small and Fortune 500 companies and corporate ventures including Oracle, IBM, SAIC, DEC, Hitachi Data, NTT Data and Kaiser Permanent.
